Past – Future & You

Your life,” he said,

doesn’t have to be played out against your past.”

Ex governor Jim McGreevey

Bridge-to-NowhereBridge to Unknown Future

Do you have chapters in your “life history” – – –

you wish had never been written?

When you have a few years on you,

When you have a history,

When you have made choices that have not been – – –

                                                                      the most perfect,

When you have time yet to live, to create, to be, to move forward:

Does your past determine what you future must be?

I think not.

Yes, the past, your past  –  it is always there  –  a river within,

Yet one can,

If one chooses,

To move beyond and become more than what was.

The future, your future – is not your past

Unless you chose that to be your desire.

Reflection:

What holds you back;

          From dreaming new dreams?

From seeing the possible in yourself?

          From moving forward?

From bridging where you are now, to where you want to be?

From a new dawn, a new day?

          From “new life”?

Is it what others may think

Or

Is it you?

Worth a Thousand Words #8

It is often said that- – –

“a picture is worth a thousand words”.

This series will be postings of a single picture.   May you find that the following photo “speaks” volumes and makes your mind travel deep within.  May this be a “meditation” for your day.

See & Listen

 REFLECTION:

What words does this photo “speak” to you?  –  Within you?

About you?    About how you live?    About how you spend your time?

About your past hopes & dreams?    About your plans for the future?

About the beauty you have experienced,

and the beauty you want to experience – in your life?

What are you doing to make all of that happen?

Be Still – – – and Know

Neanderthals among Us

Neanderthals among Us

If you thought all the primitive men from the Paleolithic period had died off – think again.  “Ain’t America Great.”  You have to love a country where people who should have died off years ago, can live another day.   They can talk too – though stupidly, just to prove they are primitive with nothing of value in their heads.

Here is a photo gallery from pages in The Nation magazine.  Both the photos and the Neanderthals, speak for themselves.  There may be more in the future!

This should make your day!

Listen to Self

Listen to myself – – –

What am I saying about me?

Take time, slowly take a deep breath, repeat and do it again.

What is inside your heart, your brain?

What do you know about you?
